Environment...

Our core values keep environmental issues at the forefront of our business practices. We believe it is the responsibility of not only companies, but also individuals to ensure that where possible energy and materials are conserved

Silver Recovery
Pre-press inevitably involves high-resolution imaging, predominately working on a photographic process. Silver halide is an essential chemical used in the production of plates and films. The silver halide which is removed during the development process hangs in the waste chemistry. This is then contained and is received by a licensed Environment Agency Waste Contractor who separates the silver from the liquid.

Waste Ink Recovery
During the printing process waste ink is generated by nightly cleaning of the presses. The waste ink, made up of an oil base, is collected and turned into a fuel by a Registered Contractor.

Paper Recycling
We stock a re-cycled range of papers and boards and will, where possible, recommend this as the preferred option for printing. Part of this range is FSC accredited.

Each year we recycle over 200 tonnes of paper, this goes back into providing pulp for recycled paper products. The majority of paper we purchase comes from managed forests - for every tree felled down, significantly more are planted.
